The Black Pearl is about a 16 year old boy. His father is in the pearl business, but won't allow him to go pearling. When his father, mother, and sisters are away, he goes pearling in a cave. He has many adventures with a monster devilfish, but you'll have to read it to find out the rest. :) I really enjoyed this book, even though I read it in school. Erin
