Walk Two Moons

This book is about a Native American girl telling a story to her grandparents on a six day drive to Idaho. In Idaho, she hopes to see her mother who left. Salamanca (or Sal for short) wants to arrive on her mothers birthday. Unfortunately, her grandmother is bitten by a snake while they are on the road, and then has a stroke. Sal must drive by herself to Idaho to get there on her mother's birthday. Will she be able to make it on time? This award-winning Newberry book has a story that will show you the real meaning of love.
